A first of its kind co-design session on the future of transportation | Oct. 4th + 5th | Pittsburgh, PA

Employers, residents, and technologists building actionable solutions together to get everyone moving.

In debating how transportation will change our cities, something is missing. Many fantasize over a future of urban renewal; others pine for thriving cities of the past. Both visions suffer from one severe oversight:

The cities don’t exist.

In America’s hundred largest metro areas, two-thirds of jobs lie outside a 90-minute mass transit window. The urban utopias so often designed to showcase innovative transportation conveniently omit the very constituents who would use them. Mobiliti aims to illuminate the blind spot in transit tech, bringing together community members, employers, and innovators to walk a mile in each other’s shoes… quite literally.

What is Mobiliti: A collaborative conference designing the future of transportation for everyone, with everyone.

Who’s involved: Employers will open up their books to connect transit challenges with workforce challenges, residents will illuminate use cases and constraints, while innovators bridge the gap with available technology and services. Co-design sessions will be facilitated by BCG Platinion|MAYA Design.

Why: To pilot mobility programs employers can invest in for holistic ROI.

Where: The Twentieth Century Club, Pittsburgh, PA

When: Oct. 4th + 5th, 2018 (Reception Event Oct. 3rd)

A Real Example

Rob Williams
Construction Worker, Homewood Resident

After being in and out of prison, Rob has chosen a healthy path forward. He recently received training that would support a $15/hr job. He has a stable place to live but the job sites are constantly shifting and start before bus routes are running.

Employer
Construction Track

General labor can set the tone for a job site. Without Rob able to show up and deliver, a ripple effect occurs and often times thousands of dollars of labor can be delayed and entire jobs put at risk.

The Solution

We need to connect the human experience…

Hear 40+ local residents discuss a day in the life of real transportation challenges based on trade requirements, lifestyle, and specific neighborhood geographies.

To leading hardware and software solutions.

Industry leading hardware and software solutions will have the floor to present what’s working, what’s not, and how to connect the needs of the residents with the businesses looking to employ top talent.

So employers can analyze challenges & opportunities…

Employers will lead deep dive sessions on how they can invest, where they need to partner, and how to communicate these opportunities to employees. Residents will provide feedback in real-time.

And invest in smart new solutions.

Lead by MAYA (a BCG company) and all vested parties, we will draft a national mobility playbook for communities.
